A couple months ago I'd gotten a Cannon Lide 110 from Amazon for $47 all in.
Nice little scanner. I'm sure there are faster ones, but it works great for
my use. I use it to read mail, make a PDF copy of something, and that sort
of thing; plus with DocuScan from Serotek. I don't use it to scann

Try the keystroke, Insert, shift, + R, while in an open message. Make sure
to read the, To field, after invoking this keystroke because sometimes it
doesn't work. SeƱor Ferrin might have a script on the Jaws-Users website to
