I was just watching the Myth Busters. (no one should get paid for having that much fun) There is an old myth that it is cheaper to leave lights on as opposed to turning them off. They totally busted that myth. For an incandescent bulb the start up cost is the same as leaving the bulb on for 3

Hi B H M ers. Today I hung a temporary light socket, from the wires, and got lights on in the shop. I actually had power to the box yesterday although I had a little scare. I checked for power with my trusty Simpson 260 and didn't get any readings. After testing for power at the house end

you could always wire an outlet onto it. Go out of the switch into an outlet, and make sure the returns are all correct, of course grounds where applicable. You may not need the outlet, but could tell by plugging something in to it if it were on. Try something like a lamp in the outlet. No
