I would think the best practice in this situation would be to create a whole new site and db for the live version and transfer the development db into the new db.  I know it's a little extra work, but at least you have a back up ground zero working configuration to fall back to if there was a

Hi Danny, Thanks for the email. Yes, that's the workaround I recommended to our client who ran into this issue. Having said that, it does seem to be a bug in BlueOnyx. You'd expect that the DB would be tied to the site and not tied to the site domain when that site was originally created.

Hi Rod, I opened the support ticket fully expecting to pay for support since I'd purchased the software a long time ago. My question was rather aimed at the fact that I got bum rushed with the same question posted to three support channels within minutes: Email, ticket system and mailing list.
