Hi Ed,
Does this mean the "failed logins per minute" limit isn't working? The
server doesn't need to be rebooted after changing that failed-login
limit, does it?
There are separate independent mechanisms at work here. BlueOnyx itself
comes with something called PAM_ABL. You see that in the
Michael Stauber: the "reload" command wasn't issued because of a pending
reboot, but somehow that was overlooked.
Issuing the "reload" command yesterday took care of all the ones in the
first batch of fifty—except one (61.177.172.19), which I've verified as
being in (yesterday's) rejection rules,
Hi all,
this morning the kernel of my almalinux system was updated to
vmlinuz-4.18.0-425.3.1. And then it rebooted in rescue mode. I tried both old
kernels and still it reboots into rescue mode.
When I use grubby to see the kernel index I also get a grub-editenv: error:
cannot rename the file
Few errors from journalctl -xb:
interface rename errors for eth3 and eth1
/sbin/mdadm -I /dev/sdc failed with exit code 1 (sdc and sdd are backup disks,
not OS disks)
dev-sde2.device: job /start timed out (missing USB-disk)
no other errors..
I'm lost here.
Hi Arie,
Guess what?
Attached the missing USB disk /dev/sde and it restarts.
Strange though the system panics because of a missing non essential
device. Lesson learned.
Do you auto-mount the USB disk in /etc/fstab? If so, then yeah: The box
won't reboot properly with the disk removed.
Hi Michael,
As I delete from the youngest can I delete the last one or not? As I
said it does not appear that other servers are running off any
snapshots, just off their VPS directly. When I list snapshots it shows
none. I jsut wanted to check before I remove the final snapshot.
As long as

I have 4 Aventurine servers and one has a problem where there appear to
be snapshots that are hanging around that should not be.
I have been having a disk space problem and I noticed that in
/vz/private/{VPS_ID} on there 3 OK servers there is just a root.hdd but
on the one with problems there
Hi Michael,
When I run a prlctl snapshot-list (Snapshot_ID) on the servers without
problems it shows no snapshots. But on the one with the problem it shows:
PARENT_SNAPSHOT_ID SNAPSHOT_ID
Hi Michael,I have seen the light and quit tinkering with the OS. 藍I just
plugged it in and later plugged it out. I guess the System Djin automounted it
in fstab. Wasn't me.___

OK, this is working but I have one last question. As I delete from the
