I think that you should get your priorities straight first, David. You
released a BOINC 7.8 onto the community and don't do anything about
aftercare, documentation, or release notes/version history.

The non-starting client problem seems to have been caused by a batch of CPDN
simulations - specifically WAH2 PNW - with 51 upload files. First report of a
successful restart with that task removed. So, provided the under-sized buffer

We are getting a few sporadic reports, so far with inadequate details, of both
Linux and OS X client crashes using v7.8.2, which leave even older clients
(after re-installation) unable to start. It appears that the crashes are
possibly triggered by an application crash, but as yet it's unclear
As I wrote earlier, I'm working on screensaver fixes for compatibility with Mac
OS 10.13 High Sierra. But it will be a few more days or a week before that is
ready for testing, so don't hold off on 7.10 for that. I'll merge it into both
master and the branch after the pull request is approved.
