why wouldn't you be able to implement your tool with the code in its
present state? Why do you need symbolic key names for that?

See the brlapi_acceptKeyRange function & co. You may need to let BrlAPI
know which keys your application is interested in. I thought in "raw
keycode" mode all the keys would be passed to the client by defautl but
it may not be the case.

like to have a representationlike ... (so three braille
cells), but then it will mean that one screen line of 80 won't fit with
my 40 braille display as wellas when each character on the screen
occupies exactly one braille cell.
