I think that bug was fixed in 2017, and your coreutils version 8.23 predates the fix. I suggest upgrading to the current version (8.31) of coreutils, as 8.23 is pretty old anyway.

In 3 places in Makefile.in and in the configured Makefile , libstdbuf.so$(EXEEXT) is specified. When EXEEXT is not empty, make cannot find the rule to make libstdbuf.so and aborts. I am fairly sure it is not Makefile.in that needs to be modified but a patch to Makefile.in is attached showing

Hi, I believe there is a bug in the date utility. My system is set to Berlin time, now daylight saving time. When I put in date --date='TZ="Europe/Berlin" now' I get correctly Sat 17 Aug 05:11:18 CEST 2019 However, putting in   date --date='TZ="America/Los_Angeles" now' yields Sat
