I just upgraded from Ant 1.7.1 and hit this.

The ant script checks if the path it is started with is a symbolic link
(/opt/csw/bin/ant to /opt/csw/share/java/ant/bin/ant) and calculates
ANT_HOME relative to the link destination which is what causes the
problem.

Using a hard link rather than a symbolic link fixes this.

[gdk_pixbuf 0003666]: libgdk_pixbuf.la references non-existent .la files, breaks graphviz builds

Summary:libgdk_pixbuf.la references non-existent .la files,
breaks graphviz builds
Description:
Building graphviz fails with:

/bin/bash ../../libtool --tag=CC --mode=link cc -g -version-info 6:0:0
-L/opt/csw/lib -o libgvplugin_gdk_pixbuf.la -rpath /opt/csw/lib/graphviz
gvplugin_gdk_pixbuf.lo gvdevice_gdk_pixbuf.lo ../../lib/gvc/libgvc.la
-L/opt/csw/lib -lgdk_pixbuf-2.0 -lgobject-2.0 -lgmodule-2.0 -lglib-2.0
-lintl
grep: /opt/csw/lib/libgmodule-2.0.la: No such file or directory

I believe this error is originating from: /opt/csw/lib/libgmodule-2.0.la
which contains a reference to this non-existent file. (Also to ls:
/opt/csw/lib/libgobject-2.0.la and /opt/csw/lib/libglib-2.0.la)

A more general question is: why are .la files being installed at all by
opencsw?
I don't understand all the rationale, but I note that Fedora does not
install any .la files.

-xchip=pentium_pro is not supported by gcc. Depending on the stuff you try
to build this is imported as options to the new build. So you can't build
stuff with gcc. Not sure if this is an easy fix.

Description:

/opt/csw/lib/sparcv9/libfam.so=libfam.so.0.0.0 s none CSWlibgamin-dev

Note, that there are two symlinks -- but not the files they are pointing
at. The libfam.so.0.0.0 does not exist neither in /opt/csw/lib nor in
/opt/csw/lib/sparcv9

Perhaps, the symlink should point at libgamin.so?

Just to make sure we're on the same page. When I'm talking about libfam, I
don't talk about *SGI FAM*. SGI FAM has gone. The libfam I talk, comes with
gamin. It is part of the upstream release. Also the symlinks, they are
created by the upstream release of gamin. And so far, I don't see any
reason why the upstream release should be wrong.

The 64 bit nss.pc has a broken libdir:

prefix=/opt/csw
exec_prefix=${prefix}
libdir=${prefix}lib/64
includedir=${prefix}/include/nss

As you see libdir is /opt/cswlib/64 instead of /opt/csw/lib/64.

I fixed the unstable10* hosts manually for now.

Hello CSW User/Sysadmin,

Please note that recent changes may affect the way you're used to
working with the CSW apache2 packages.

In the past, CSWap2prefork and CSWap2worker delivered a specific mpm
module for use with apache2. We now ship the prefork mpm as part of
CSWapache2 while the worker mpm remains in CSWap2worker.

Each httpd mpm is installed using the new alternatives framework.
When CSWap2worker is installed, it registers a higher priority httpd,
thus it is activated as httpd (manual restart required). You can
change this at any time using the alternatives command. See
/opt/csw/sbin/alternatives --help for information on how you can do
this.

Thanks
-The OpenCSW apache2 team.

cswinitsmf used to save state of the SMF services so if you upgraded you
got the same state afterwards even though an upgrade is actually separate
remove/add ops.

After a patch (for something I can't remember) it stopped working. It needs
to be properly implemented or rolled back.

  http://buildfarm.opencsw.org/experimental.html#gcc-4.8.2
It will be pushed to unstable after some time.

Summary:Remove hardcoded paths to SVR4 package tools
Description:
Hi Peter,

Might be strange but I am trying to use pkgutil on a SmartOS server where
pkgadd, pkgrm.. are not available.

I can get them and put them in a different location but most path are to
these tools are hardcoded in pkgutil so this doesn't work out of the box.

So my feature request is: is this possible to modify pkgutil so path to
SVR4 package tools are not hardcoded ?

Thanks in advance for your answer,

Yann

Indeed, the QtUiTools.a is built but not included in any package. Neither
is the private include probably required. I will deliver a new set of
packages next week.

Last but no least, should I provide all the static libraries in the
development package?

BTW, the OP should be aware that what he's using is quite old and the new
delivery will be on the unstable catalog. Consequently an update will be
required.

Actually, your question is my question and the problem.

One of the ways to setup a non-globabl zone, and this is probably the most
typical, is to mount /usr from the global zone in the non-global zones with
lofs. The mount is -ro in the non-global zone.

I installed a package in a non-global zone and pkg-get installed fontconfig
as a dependency. Therefore, I suspect that fc-cache was started from
postinstall. After running at very heavy cpu utilization and spitting out
error after error, I finally got the process to die.

You can use /usr/bin/zonename, if it exists, to determine the zonename. I
believe this is correct, but you may want to confirm, zonename returns
\'global\' when run from the global zone. If the zonename binary exists
and does not return \'global\', you may want to send a message that
fc-cache was not run and, if needed, can be run with the init script.

I retrieved OpenSSH_6.2 and indeed I can observe the same behavior.

It has been introduced in OpenSSH 6.2 by this change:
   - dtuc...@cvs.openbsd.org 2013/02/15 00:21:01
 [sshconnect2.c]
Warn more loudly if an IdentityFile provided by the user cannot be
read.
 bz https://www.opencsw.org/mantis/view.php?id=1981, ok djm@

and it has been fixed in OpenSSH 6.3 by this change:

   - dtuc...@cvs.openbsd.org 2013/02/22 04:45:09
 [ssh.c readconf.c readconf.h]
Don't complain if IdentityFiles specified in system-wide configs are
 missing. ok djm, deraadt.

So you need to upgrade to the last Openssh package to fix this issue.
Is there a reason why you were still using Openssh 6.2 ?

Correct. I realise now there are several of these and a libtool fix is
going to be needed anyway to support the unmaintained packages. You might
get a use the lib not main package or updated to .7 report here too so
it's not much different as fix might as well use .7.

Summary:upgrade and split
Description:
Can you upgrade and split in run-time, development and library packages as
there are dependent packages: mplayer and mencoder.

I have a recipe for the upgrade but not for the split. If you wish I can
commit and, if you don't have the time I can do it also.

Any ideas was I should be doing on this one ? Running on solaris 9/sparc.
