I am a beginner using this framework. I have given some time on it and

There was some work being done on the MS SQL driver.
Basically, take the latest mysql driver and change all the functions
to mssql instead of mysql and see if it works.
This would be better than going through ADODB.

When you use a url with a leading slash you are telling the browser to seek the path at the root of the domain (then it's an absolute url), when you don't use a leading slash, then the browser seeks the address at the current folder (relative url). Cake can generate correct urls for you helpers,

I've managed the Blog Tutorial with MySQL, no problem. An Oracle
connection woth PHP+Adodb without cake is no problem. But I really want
to get cake to work with oracle.
