Hi, all!
Thanks to all those who responded about this dance. Both Bob Isaacs and Chris
Page don’t recognize the dance as already written so I think we’re good to go.
Would love to hear how it goes if you decide to call it. The title is not a
typo. The 2nd word is a play on words as a combinatio
I recently called at a contra dance where we had exactly 6 dancers for almost
the entire evening (one joined us later but only occasionally danced). This was
unexpected as they usually have attendance in the 12-20 range. I was able to
piece together a night of mixers, triplets, and oddball dance
es, diagonal chains, etc.)

Thanks to everyone for your great responses! I’ve taken notes, looked up
dances, watched videos, and will be ready (without panic) for the next dance
where we have very few dancers.
Kalia, I love Pride of Dingle and did call it that night as a 7-person dance. I
had Dingle skip the last left-han

I’ve also written a dance with this down the hall figure in it. I like to call
it early in the evening since it’s very connected and has “rest” time for each
couple. I haven’t run it through the Shared Weight gauntlet to see if anyone
else has written it. Please let me know if it’s already out t
Hi,
Saw this dance on-line (it’s the video that is on the GoFundMe page for the
Dayton, VA dance) and I like the dance.
Does anyone know the title, author and author's choreography of the dance? I
can work out the choreography but would like to see how the author describes
the B1 and B2 of th
It looks like that’s it, thanks!

Hi, I’ve recently written two dances. Both have been tested and called at
regular contra dances (one in England, one in California!) to positive feedback
from the dancers. I’m running it by the caller’s gauntlet to see if anyone
knows if these dances have already been written. Please let me know
Hi, all! I recently wrote this dance and would like to know if it’s already out
there somewhere and being called by people. As always, your feedback is
appreciated. I test called it in September and it went well. Seth Tepfer called
it in River Falls and it went well, though he is going to try it
Hi, all,
I’m calling the contra dances in Montpelier, VT, and in Cambridge, MA next
weekend. I’m hoping to get some insight from people who have danced there or
called there about the dance crowd and how they are as a community in helping
each other, how many beginners usually come, are they fl
I wanted to have a dance where dancers did the dolphin hey figure with a
neighbor rather than with a partner so that knowledge could be transferred from
one person to another. I wrote this dance with that purpose. This dance borrows
much from Seth Tepfer’s “Dolphin Yay!” dance and Andrea Nettlet
I have enjoyed Indigo Silk by Lynn Ackerson and High Voltage Gypsy by John
Combs as taught by Nils Fredland. And you could always do Rory O’ More! :-)

Hi, Luke (and others)!
Jeremy Korr called this on Saturday night and I danced it as a Lady/Raven with
a partner who was not a switcher so I can comment on it as a Lady dancer but
not from the Gents/Larks perspective.
I generally liked the dance. The flow was good and it was nice to have

If it isn’t already a defined move it should most definitely be called a “star
burst”!!

Angela, I clicked on the link and it took me to the Diversions Leveret album in
