 Actually, ជិវតាក្វាន់  was not the one who coined the word Funan. It was the chinese diplomats representing the Wu Kingdom of Nanking who sojourned in Funan in the mid-3rd century A.D. If you think Keng Vansak misinterpreted  the word to please Sihanouk, perhaps those chinese diplomats too w
