Re: [casper] TUT_2 PROBLEM

2016-12-05 Thread Rolando Paz
:-)

I have installed this versions:

construct-2.5.2
corr-0.7.3
katcp-0.3.4
h5py-2.6.0
pyephem-3.7.6.0

If I install katcp-0.6.0 some problems arise, so I had to install
katcp-0.3.4. so, I am thinking update my filesystem version, because can be
outdated?

Rolando

Hi Rolando,

Nice work!

My advice - if everything works, don't touch it! It would be good to note
your currently working combination of package versions, in case you have
problems in the future.

Re: [casper] TUT_2 PROBLEM

2016-12-05 Thread Rolando Paz
Hi Jack

I found this email
http://www.mail-archive.com/casper@lists.berkeley.edu/msg02504.html

Then I used minicom and I replaced tcpborphserver2

root@roach:/usr/local/sbin# ls
fancontrol pwmconfig sensors-detecttcpborphserver2 tgtap
flash_eraseall sensordtb2server-allfix tcpborphserver2_old
root@roach:/usr/local/sbin#

After this worked tut2!

However, should I upgrade the versions of corr and katcp and filesystem?

This is the output of ?help

Hi Rolando,
Can you telnet into the roach using the command

telnet 7147

You should be greeted by a welcome prompt. In the prompt, type

?help

If you can paste the output of these commands in an email, maybe I can find
you a version of the katcpserver which will work (assuming that's the
problem)

Cheers

Re: [casper] TUT_2 PROBLEM

2016-12-05 Thread Rolando Paz
Hi Jack

I have a ROACH1 Rev.3, S/N 040433, and I'm using the file system that came
in the SD-Card to use ROACH.

Is this what I need to update?

Also, I am using corr-0.7.3 and katcp-0.3.4.

What are the correct versions of corr and katcp for my ROACH? Or, should I
use casperfpga?

Best Regard

Rolando

Re: [casper] TUT_2 PROBLEM

2016-12-04 Thread Jack Hickish
Hi Rolando,

If I had to guess, I'd say there is a problem with the version of the
python katcp/corr libraries you're using, and the version of tcpborphserver
running on your ROACH. Do you know the versions of these bits of code that
you're using?

Cheers
Jack
