MB/sec. Going the normal
route with the same load chewed up lot of CPU resources on the Cassandra
servers because of lot of serialization/deserialization.
Avinash, do you have any sample code that demonstrates importing data
this way?

I ask because ASF's Jira has that extra radio button on the attachment
submission page for the contributor to indicate that they grant rights
under the Apache License. I've heard that it's a requirement that
patches be attached to the respective issue in Jira so that that button
can be ticked.

You're proposing some pretty disruptive changes, and as such the benefit
needs to be clear and obvious, IMO it's not.
The timing is also pretty bad considering we're nearing the end of the
0.4 roadmap, and this wasn't on the list.
