The Evening Grosbeak that has been gracing my yard is still around. it
showed up twice today, once early this am and once early in the afternoon.

A pileated woodpecker has been regularly seen high up in a pine tree outside
Mann Library. The 3rd floor of Mann offers an eye-level view, and binos are at
the window for general use.

A /The immature white GLAUCOUS GULL was on Cayuga Lake
this morning (Fri 12 Feb) north of the cluster of pilings and visible
in the shimmer scoping from East Shore Park and Stewart Park,
but presumably easier to see from Treman Marine Park or the west shore.

As I walked out of the drive, I saw four birds crossing road towards my drive
and disappeared behind the trees and they had bright reddish and white
undersides, so I presumed they were robins. But as they came out of the trees,
