Thanks to everyone you posted about the King Eider being at Fall Creek
today. I got to the boathouse a little after 3pm today and also had
some great closeup views of the Eider. There already have been a number
of excellent photos posted, but if you would like a few see a view more,

Hi all,
Thanks to Dave Nutter's posting, Ton and I headed to Stewart Park around noon
to see the King Eider. Click on the picassa webalbum link below for some photos
Ton took of the eider eating crayfish. On the way home we stopped at the
Pheasant Farm on Game Farm Rd. to count Red Tailed Hawks
The KING EIDER was still there when I left at 12:45pm. Great close views of a spectacular bird. No scope needed. The feather shapes on the back and wings are incredible, as are the complex patterns on the head. I hope it stays long enough for everyone to have a look. It was close to the Cascad

Hi All,
We had our first of season COMMON REDPOLL this morning, mixed in with
about a dozen House Finches. Also, had a SHARP-SHINNED HAWK.
Yesterday, we saw our first of season AMERICAN TREE SPARROW.
Time to put chains on the tractor and do some plowing!
