Thank you, John for reporting this. š I visited Myers this evening (5-6:30pm)
and the woodpecker was still there, calling actively and flying around the
trees right where you describe it.

Stuart Krasnoff and I found one adult Red-headed Woodpecker around 12:30 today
calling and working on enlarging a hole about 50 ft up in a dead trunk of a
tree facing the private marina at Myers. Hereās my ebird report with some
photos and description of location, and with Stuartās audio record
I have a work vehicle that I havenāt moved in almost 2 weeks. In that time
pair of Robins have decided to nest on top of one of the front tires.There are
already 3 eggs in the nest. I need to use the vehicle both days this weekend.

re-listening (and not being super excited at a āliferā and blinded by
excitement) I agree with him, they were Savannahs. They sound super similar (to
