Have been walking the Wilson Trail in the mornings before our Kids Discover the
Trail programs at the Ornithology Lab. Today was the bird-iest yet with 51
species in about an hour walk.Highlights of warblers were: Northern Parula,
Magnolia, Yellow, Chestnut-sided, Yellow- rumped, American
Eastern Towhee near Mt. Pleasant

While walking our dog this morning, we observed two Northern Harriers in the
Mt. Pleasant/Mineah fields—one the field by the Mt. Pleasant/Mineah
intersection, the other on the field further down the abandoned part of Mineah

About an hour ago, I had the great fortune to stumble on a male
Golden-winged Warbler along Bald Hill Road just south of Grove School Road.
I was sitting in my car, photographing redstarts when suddenly a bird flew
to the edge of the road near me and perched on a low branch. A brilliant
warbler
