aged their claws,
which were tangled in wet feathers.
Both flew away, and we were left to hope we'd done the right thing.

When going out to check the mail, I was rewarded with a good look at a
female American Redstart and male Rose-breasted Grosbeak.

I was surprised to see a *male Yellow-bellied Sapsucker* visiting our suet
feeder this morning in Caroline.
Shouldn't they all have migrated further south by now?
