Along with 5 other adults & one juvenile is a neck-banded Tundra Swan
on Mill Pond. The band is turned in such a way that I couldn't see the
number. Perhaps someone with a good scope can see it & post their
findings. The swans have been on the pond for a couple wks..

I recommend that people check out the waterfowl on Mill Pond from the sidewalk
area *before* venturing into the brushy woods along the south side, if you feel
a need to go there at all, because going into those woods where the path and
benches are proposed may scare off the waterfowl.

I agree with Donna Scott about personal, paper letters. If necessary, I

We we there about an hour ago and there were two American Wigeons right up
close to the road - close enough for pictures We did see one of your horned
grebes almost on the far shore - first grebe of the drain for us.

Tucked hard against Mill Pond west shore, sheltered from fierce winds;
5 prs. wood ducks, 4 male hooded megansers, 1 female red-breasted merganser
Other: redheads, buffles, mallards, ring-billed ducks, 1 Canada, (?) scaup,
gadwall, coot, 2 horned grebes (still!!) No wigeon.

With the strong SW winds we have had more ducks on the Mill pond along Rte. 90
sheltering, surprisingly, in the SE corner. Water level is down again. Early
last mo. water was up to the bottom of, & maybe into, the metal duck box in the
pond. Can't figure what is happening because water flowing
Lots of Gadwall & Mallards plus 1 Pintail, 2 Redheads, & several pr. of A.
Wigeon. Buffles have been there but weren't when I was at 11 a.m. today.
Factory pond had 7 Mallards but they flew when I drove by. What a sad mess on
Factory pond!!
