I was there from 1:15 to 2:15pm on Tuesday 3 Jan with no luck. A guy who worked there and was familiar with the bird said it had not been seen on the 2nd or 3rd. I tried to look on the roof of the mall from the Thruway overpass, and I scanned the Thruway rest stop (1 tantalizing gull atop the roof)

I took a chilly, fast walk up Salt Road in the Summer Hill SF this morning. As expected, it was quiet. Nevertheless, I managed to tally 18 Chickadees, 8 Juncoes, and 6 Red-breasted Nuthatches. As I was getting into the car, a large, dark bird flew across the road - at least a half mile away

Hi everyone, The past couple of days I have noticed that the hunters at the south end of Cayuga Lake have been using a boat to chase and flush the flocks of Redhead, scaup and other waterfowl. I was amazed that you could drive a motorboat up and down the lake to flush flocks of resting ducks . . .
