An adult GOLDEN EAGLE just soared high over Sapsucker Woods heading NE.
I've also had a few Accipiters, about 2000 Snow Geese, and 8 Cackling Geese
mixed in with Canadas.

On a very short walk through woods behind my house, I picked up two wood
ticks and two deer ticks today. I walk this particular trail at least once
a week and have never picked up any ticks on it--or at least not that I
have seen. The two deer ticks would have gone unseen today if the two wood
While driving on NY 96, about 2 miles east of Spencer, a large bird swooped
across above me at some 75 feet elevation. The very brief glimpse I had
convinced me it was an adult bald eagle.

In addition to the things Jay saw (the coolest of which, I missed), I had a
RED-SHOULDERED HAWK soaring over the Wilson Trail heading slowly to the
north.
