For the second day in a row, I’ve found a Willow Flycatcher on my walks around
our property. Fortunately is was giving the “wit” call frequently, which helped
me to pin the ID. Got a good look at it, too but the call is what confirmed it.
Today I tried to use my iPhone to record it, but I was to
Wow. I wonder if I would have glanced up at them and blown them off as
cormorants!

Hi folks.
Recently I have seen one "bald" redwing on a tray feeder and another that
was nearly bald. Now I see what appears to be an adult Oriole "losing" some
of the black on its head. Is it normal for these birds to molt some of
their non-flight feathers at this time of year?

Worrying about something more substantial than orange to sustain the orioles, I

5 adult male B Orioles together here, with a female & immature male a while
ago, eating orange, grp jelly & suet, w/ occasional attempt to drink
hummingbird sugar water. H-bird feeder not a good perch for B Os.
Plus an Osprey perched in tree on lake cliff till hale storm chased it away.
