I thought I saw a male yesterday and confirmed a sighting today. Sheffield
Road, Ithaca.
Also just watched several swallows chasing and bombing a red-winged blackbird
male. He perched in a tree and they swooped around him a few times and then
left.

While birding Irish Hill Rd near the NW gate of the Arnot Forest this
morning, Rachel Lodder, Jared Dawson and I stopped for what we thought was
a blue-winged warbler (Merlin agreed). Rachel spotted the bird's movements;
I got a good view of it and was surprised to see a bright yellow crown and

Botanic Gardens produced a number of warblers and other birds this morning

Big news in Newfield ... five little eastern bluebird fledgelings emerged
from the blue bird nest box outside our window this morning!
