Working on my back deck in Brooktondale, I just heard my FOY cuckoo.
Sounded like it was coming from the are where Central Chapel meets Burns Rd
(one house closer to Central Chapel than mine). Other birds currently in

We had a huge event at the Lab yesterday and many families (over 200 people
at once), and I usually have time to double check things but didn't, so
posted the call as per typical practice at the front desk for unusual

Just took my lunch break on the front stoop here in Bdale, and despite the
typically low bird activity time of day (1:45 pm), had the good company
of the following in our feeder/spruce/crabapple feeder area in our front
yard:
Brown Thrashers 2, one on the edge of our front yard, one I could hear
Lots of FOY birds for us in our Brooktondale yard today, including a
White-Crowned Sparrow alongside our plentiful White-Throated ones!

I am at the Front Desk of the Visitor's Center of the Lab today, and got a
call from a Kendall resident, saying she saw a Snowy Owl yesterday while
eating lunch at Kendall (so in the field-like area visible from the
cafeteria area).
Not confirmed, but thought I should share.

We had our BLACK CROWNED NIGHT HERON making a ruckus last night, around
midnight, intermittantly chiming in with our Green Frogs, Bullfrogs, Am
Toads and peepers. No Mink frogs or Grey Tree frogs in the chorus though.
