An evening grosbeak just spent 5 minutes hanging out on the ground at our
feeder in Lansing. First time sighting for me! Beautiful bird.

That sounds more pleasant than the early morning alarm we’ve had for the past
couple of weeks: a yellow-bellied sapsucker drumming on the downspout of our
gutter. He’s been at it today for 45 minutes! The resonance is quite
impressive.

My husband and I went for a morning bird walk at Salt Point where we had
multiple Orchard Oriole sightings!!
At one point we saw 4 males and 1 female simultaneously in/near a flowering
apple tree along the southern leg of the trail. 2 male Baltimores were also in
