This morning at around 8:30 there was a single Black Vulture at the Tompkins County recycling center (there may have been others as there was a tree of vultures out behind the center). What I found interesting is where the black vulture was. It was sitting on top of the Fork Over Tompkins

Now there are TWO Black Vultures here, sitting together on a board fence in the island of bushes between the two silver canopies on the slope above the piles. Conditions are a bit mucky in the piles, so looking from Stevenson might be the way to go, they should be visible from there at the moment.
