Upland sandpiper found this morning by Dave Kennedy continues at Lott farm.
I tried around noonish from Martin Rd. but with no luck. Returned around
2:30 and a family member was on the property and gave permission to drive
the grounds. Found the bird way toward the back by the cut corn field. It

Following Reuben's lead via Dave Nutter, I see 2 upland sandpipers on Lott
farm. Hanging together and one with a darker back. Returned from the
Argentine!
Beautiful birds!!
Be sure to ask permission. The lady in the office said she has removed the
phone number so you'll have to stop and ask.

Yesterday, 17 April, Reuben Stoltzfus saw 2 Upland Sandpipers at the Lott Farm,
which is east of NYS-414 and north of Martin Rd in Seneca Falls.
I believe this is new for the Cayuga Lake Basin for the year, and I have added
it to the list on the Cayuga Bird Club website, Resources page.

Nice to know they are still there. We've missed them the past few times,

Hi all,
I was in the plane on the way to Chicago sitting on runway when I saw an Upland
sp sitting on A10 marker nervously watching the plane. Once we moved it dove
into grass.
It was lovely view of all lakes some 20 miles from the plane including MNWR and
other interesting features

Just a quick note:
Saturday night, around 11:00pm, while doing some brief star-gazing from the
back yard, I was pleasantly surprised to hear the four-noted night flight
call of an Upland Sandpiper, as it passed overhead on its southward
migration. The distinct call heard was the bubbly "Bweep-b
Hi all,
Jay McGowan and I were very surprised to see an out-of-place Upland
Sandpiper at Railroad Rd. in Savannah (Wayne Co.) this afternoon. We
drove through the potholed section of road to the dike that runs north
past a gate (the dike that runs between the main emergent marsh and
the pond where
Dave Nutter's SFO group spotted at Empire state farm fairgrounds.
2-3 upland snapipers good views in fields, gravel paths, and perched
on top of one of two very tall wooden poles.
They were around this whole time and still there for Steve Kress's
group as we just left.
