Hi all,
This morning Myers Point had eight times the birders but about a tenth the
birds as yesterday. Before I arrived Bob McGuire had the Red-throated Loon
on the lake to the south of the spit, but we didn't relocated it after the
fog rolled in. He also had a flock of Brant, but no more moved by
This morning's bird of note was a Lincoln's Sparrow in the open, brushy
swale on the west side of Sapsucker Woods Road, just south of the trail
heads. It's getting late for Lincoln's Sparrows in our area.

Just made a run over to Montezuma today (didn't do the auto route), the visitor
center pool was full of C. Geese, assorted ducks, and a Godwit (Hudsonian,
non-breeding?). Also hiked Esker Brook/South Spring Pool trail and found a lot
of robins, (hermit) thrush, several rusty blackbirds, YR
A few other birds at Montezuma today (after reviewing my photos) include
American Tree Sparrows Fox Sparrow (Esker Brook Trail). At May's Point a few
Great Egrets remain along with a large group of Hooded Mergansers. An imm.
Peregrine Falcon and a Kingfisher were in the dead wood section near
I was working today, but during a mid-morning lull I took my taxi to Stewart Park. There were lots of nice waterfowl, much as reported the past couple days. A highlight as I was leaving was seeing 2 juvenile BALD EAGLES perched in a live but now leafless tree not far from where the famous snag

Ever
After leaving Myers Pt. my last stop in town was East shore Park. My best birds
were two Black Scoters that flew in to feed almost directly across from the
pavilion. They were still there when I left around 11:30.
