Hi all,
There is currently a flock of at least 70 RUSTY BLACKBIRDS hanging out just

Our group's experience at Derby Hill was very similar to the group led by
Dave Nicosia with a few exceptions which are worth noting.
At the lake overlook several of us had good looks at a Golden-crowned
Kinglet in the pines on the west side of the overlook. From the N look out
area we walked
Dropped by to take a VERY quick look at swan pen but both entrances blocked
with danger do not cross tape. Looks like a few trees down across path. Hope
quickly remedied.
From the pond overlook by Fuertes sign I was able to find a Yellow Warbler
Chipping Sparrow.

Despite the closure of the swan pen trail, I was able to find the
continuing AUDUBON'S WARBLER on both of two quick checks this morning, once
around 8:40 and once around 9:15. It was along the same area where we first
found it, the bushes the run along the back of the boathouse from near the
creek
There is a young falconer right in that neighborhood, on Bower Rd. She's a
friend of my daughter's; I'll contact her to see if she's lost her hawk.

Perhaps my message wasn't interpreted correctly. The swan pen path had been
closed. They had it closed off with red tape that requested...DO NOT CROSS
until they could eliminate whatever conditions they deemed unsafe.
I'm not deterred by fallen trees. I was deterred by risk of getting a ticket

Hi all,
I did part of the way home by walk along Honness Lane. Highlights were one
SHARP-SHINNED HAWK circling the sky. Further down along the road I watched
large crow cross the road, which was immediately followed by another crowing
smaller crow, then I realized I am looking at the East
We had similar birds as Dave described in Derby Hill, and Dave forgot to
mention a Raven that flew over when we were at the 'snipe' spot at junction of
3 and 104B. We also saw a COOPERS HAWK and a BROWN THRASHER while on the 'hill'.
We split off from Derby Hill to Sterling Nature Center,
