You can configure the router to select the first available B channel in
ascending order (channel B1) or descending order (channel B23 ). By
default, the router will select outgoing calls in descending order.

It helps me to visualize a ladder, with the rungs being the channels,
and rung (channel) number 1 being at the top.
Ascending and descending refer to *numerically* ascending or
descending - so ascending numerically (from channel 1 to channel N)
means going top down on the ladder.

I believe that ip services and advanced services have merged into one image.

Hi Everyone,
Trunk v/s access on the 4 port Hwics
I have always been told that you need to use Trunk mode.
I have tried this several times in access mode in production without a hitch.
Can someone fill me in on why you have to use trunk!!

My understanding is that access mode is unstable and not reliable on HWICs
I also know that on older HWICS the access mode will not work. I have some

Hi,
From the voice lab perspective both switches are exactly the same.
It's NOT true that auto qos behaves differently.

As other wrote, it uses Rerouting CSS.
In rerouting CSS (css-snr) include only one partition (pt-snr).
