Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Alias commands
I always use this alias: Alias exec cue ser ser 0/0 sess Its getting handy in setup phase when you want to have a quick look how far the reboot process is gone. With CTRL+SHIFT+6 x and then disc 1 you can go back if the module is still rebooting. Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] cBarge in SRST:cbarge softkey not appearing
Hi Tamer, Thanks for the link, but it just stated that it doesn't work without any further explanation. In fact there is a workaround to resolve this by Cisco, pls refer below: *CSCti11843 Bug Details:* Shared-line Cbarge remote-in-use softkeys not working in SRST Symptom: For Shared line if you want cbarge you must disable privacy and enable remote-in-use softkey under ephone-template. However if you configured SRST CME with srst mode auto-provision none or dn privacy setting on the ephone remains default which means it is on. Hence you can’t disable privacy. *Conditions:* When phones fallback to SRST. *Workaround:* Only workaround is to either configure: ephone 1 privacy off or configure srst mode auto-provision all And yes, i just make it work few min ago. Just that the behavior is odd. Shingei. [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Sending calling name and isdn numbering plan in certain calls
Let's say for local call and 911 in US, the question asked you to send calling name. However, it's not mentioned for national call and international. If I send calling name, am I correct or wrong? For another case, for certain call, i'm suppose to send via HQ and BR1 as backup for 1212394 ( subscriber call in HQ but national call in BR1) HQ's requirement is to send isdn number type and numbering plan such as ISDN/subscriber. In BR1 is not required. When i create a route list, should I set the restricted those information while sending to BR1? ** i'm a lazy person but i'm afraid to get lazy score as well =( ** ___ For more information regarding industry leading CCIE Lab training, please visit www.ipexpert.com

It's the same as all the others. 80 is the minimum required to pass. As always, if you do pass the lab you will not receive a score. Just a notification of PASS. Otherwise, you will receive a score with percentage of correct points in each of the major categories from the blueprint. Either party can answer or hang up the call. When connected, PSTN phone shows g711 codec while my IP Phone shows g729 codec. When I called the correct number (making US local number call out of this gateway from the same phone) , everything is fine. G711 is used and voice passes thru. -- debug isdn q931 --- Feb 25 19:21:44.392: ISDN Se0/1/0:23 Q931: TX - SETUP pd = 8 callref = 0x0085 Bearer Capability i = 0x8090A2 Standard = CCITT Transfer Capability = Speech Transfer Mode = Circuit Transfer Rate = 64 kbit/s Channel ID i = 0xA98383 Exclusive, Channel 3 Display i = 'Site B Home' Calling Party Number i = 0x0081, '+16178631001' Plan:Unknown, Type:Unknown Called Party Number i = 0x91, '3432141891' Plan:ISDN, Type:International Feb 25 19:21:44.416: ISDN Se0/1/0:23 Q931: RX - CALL_PROC pd = 8 callref = 0x8085 Channel ID i = 0xA98383 Exclusive, Channel 3 Feb 25 19:21:44.420: ISDN Se0/1/0:23 Q931: RX - DISCONNECT pd = 8 callref = 0x8085 Cause i = 0x8281 - Unallocated/unassigned number Feb 25 19:21:44.424: ISDN Se0/1/0:23 Q931: TX - RELEASE pd = 8 callref = 0x0085 Feb 25 19:21:44.432: ISDN Se0/1/0:23 Q931: RX - RELEASE_COMP pd = 8 callref = 0x8085 -- debug h225 asn1 - Feb 25 19:23:32.445: H225 NONSTD OUTGOING ENCODE BUFFER::= 6001020001082C080282811C269E810003677464001B52454C2C0D0A50524E2C6973646E2A2C2C4E492A2A2A2C0D0A0D0A Feb 25 19:23:32.445: Feb 25 19:23:32.445: H225.0 OUTGOING PDU ::= value H323_UserInformation ::= { h323-uu-pdu { h323-message-body releaseComplete : { protocolIdentifier { 0 0 8 2250 0 4 } callIdentifier { guid '809729BAB40181D610002403C0A8020C'H } } h245Tunneling FALSE nonStandardControl { { nonStandardIdentifier h221NonStandard : { t35CountryCode 181 t35Extension 0 manufacturerCode 18 } data '6001020001082C080282811C269E810003677464...'H } } tunnelledSignallingMessage { tunnelledProtocolID { id tunnelledProtocolAlternateID : { protocolType gtd } } messageContent { '52454C2C0D0A50524E2C6973646E2A2C2C4E492A...'H } tunnellingRequired NULL } } } - ___ For more information regarding industry leading CCIE Lab training, please visit www.ipexpert.com

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Calling to PSTN-WAN remote Zone
Is it a requirement to use cube to pstn-wan ? Looks like your cube doesn't have route. I tried cube. You need to have a inbound dialpeer to accept the call and a outbound dialpeer back to gatekeeper.
