Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Cisco Voice Home Lab
If you are building a lab at this point, no matter which version of the test you are going to attempt I would build to the new Collaboration spec. For example, to tun the specified code for the vgwys, you must have at least 29xx hardware, but to run the correct train for the Voice spec you need 28xx hardware.Seems that since most everyone does a few attempts (including me, getting ready for my 3rd) that ultimately you will end up with the Collaboration at some point unless you pass the first time. All of that being said, 28xx hardware is getting pretty cheap. I think I am going to add a single 29xx platform to learn the differences and the leave the rest on the 28xx equipment.Steve Original Message Subject: Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Cisco Voice Home Lab From: Josh PetroDate: Wed, July 31, 2013 2:24 pm To: LorenzLGRC Cc: CCIE Voice Study List Agreed. No reason to rush an attempt at the current version. Unless you've studied for the current track previously and feel confident, I would highly suggest going for the Collaboration track. Im testing tomorrow for the first time after 9 months of studying and if I were in your shoes, I would wait for the Collaboration lab to be available. Just start studying now. If you have the IPExpert VoDs, that's a great start and helps cement concepts. I also created a notebook, segmented by topic that I've been updating throughout my study time.
