[OSL | CCIE_Voice] Changing CUPS CUCM Publisher configuration

2013-08-02 Thread Daniel Gomez
Hello,

I'm working on changing CUPS configuration because I need to point to a
different CUCM Publisher.

Currently, both CUCM and CUPS are configured to use DNS, however, new CUCM
cluster does not.

According to documentation, a mixed deployment is not supported meaning we
either use DNS on both system or we don't on any of them.

So, if I delete DNS on presence, would I be able to do the integration? The
problem is that when I try to change parameters on CUCM Publisher menu,
Presence requires the CUCM hostname that can't be resolved. I get a message
saying that.

If a remove DNS (and rehost the license file), am I going to still need CUCM
hostname to be resolved?

Thanks.

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] Changing CUCM IP address on Cisco Presence

2013-07-06 Thread Daniel Gomez
Hello,

Does anybody know if there's any guide showing the procedure to change CUCM IP
address on a presence server.

CUCM IP address has to change and therefore we need to change it on presence
server.

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] CUCM LDAP filters

2013-06-04 Thread Daniel Gomez
Thanks Michael,

Should there be two pipes at the beginning?

(|(|(ipPhone=8500*)(ipPhone=8505*))((ipPhone=8514*)(ipPhone=8800*)))

Or should I use a pipe before each condition then?

(|(|(ipPhone=8500*))(|(ipPhone=8505*))(|(ipPhone=8514*))(|(ipPhone=8800*)))

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] CUCM LDAP filters

2013-06-03 Thread Daniel Gomez
Hello experts,

I was wondering if anyone has experience with CUCM LDAP filter syntax.

I'm trying to make CUCM 8.6 just to get users with phone numbers starting with
8500, 8505, 8514 and 8800 to perform a demo.

I created the following filter:

((ipPhone=8500*)(ipPhone=8505*)(ipPhone=514*)(ipPhone=8800*)

It seems to work but not entirely as expected as CUCM is importing users with
no number configured.

Could the syntax of my filter be the issue?? I understand I'm creating a rule
saying any of the conditions must be considered.

Any advise would be really appreciated

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] Very basic about 7911G conference feature

2011-02-10 Thread Daniel Gomez
Hello all,

Maybe this is a very basic question but it's driving me crazy!

I have only 7911G phones and I want to do some internal conferences including
more than 3 users.

Phone A calls Phone B and Phone C, this works perfectly.

Now, Phone B would like to connect Phone D to the conference so he presses puts
the call on hold, makes the new one to Phone D, selects the conference and the
new call but when that person wants to press the softkey button, he gets a
message saying the conference key is inactive.

Phone A could add that person, I confirmed that but why Phone B, who didn't
create the conference can't?

I have a MRGL with both software and hardware CFB.
HW are PVDM-3 cards.

On service parameters I've configure the max number of users to be 8 for both
adhoc and meetme services. I also have advanced conference feature set to true.

On each 7911G phone, I've configured the max number of calls to be 6.

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks a lot.
