As I reported in my previous messages CDE does not work on LTSP5 and
Ubuntu10.04LTS. CDE freezes.
However, I just checked with LTSP5 and Ubuntu12.04LTS and YES, it works!!!
I can only see one glitch: the cursor remains busy forever when you move
it on the desktop

I asked the maintainer of fbida[1], a Motif/framebuffer image viewer,
about whether CDE integration would be accepted upstream, and received
a positive answer.
Currently I have a V1 patch that works for me, but might need work
before it gets merged upstream.
