I hope im writing to the right mailbox..
I recently purchased a Pioneer DVR-218L SATA dvd recorder, to replace an old
IDE Pioneer recorder.
The unit works correctly when burning data, and it works correctly under
Windows. But when i tried to burn a Video-DVD under Linux (K3B), it gave me
an err

Sorry I have not had time to look at the USB driver bug.
Previously I was using the JMicron JM20336 USB-SATA bridge.
Now I have the JM20329, apparently a simpler (and slower) chip.

At least it is clear that you do not suffer from
USB 1. My BD-R get read about as fast as they get
written. So ~ 9 MB/s would be the right speed.
