CF developer needed, local to Seattle
We are in need of a local developer fluent in ColdFusion and MySQL for the production of a client website. We are considering using Cartweaver or some other pre-built cart with some custom modification. We do not wish to consider any untested or new carts for this project. Qualified developer will work as an independent contractor directly with the Art Director. Candidate should have prior real-world experience developing a semi-complex e-commerce website, should be able to follow precise directions, and will need to be able to work with supplied content. All text, optimized graphics, and layouts will be provided by the Art Director. Candidate will need to show working examples of e-commerce sites completed in ColdFusion. Candidate will need to supply a firm estimate, a timeline commitment, and an understandable plan showing how the site will work. We already have a summary and a design of the site which will be available for review. Time allotted for design and development is 60 days from our receipt of full content from our client. This should leave you with about six to seven weeks dev time. If interested, please email URLs showing samples of your work, along with an explanation of your role in the site dev. REALLY annoyed with this site
Wow, I'm unbelievably angry that House of Fusion used my work email address in my recent posting to this list. I specifically changed my email address to a personal one before signing up for this list. It's ironic that HOF cannot code their site properly so that my change took effect for the email list (though I do see the changed email address in the account settings). PLEASE DO NOT use my NASA address for correspondence. I am unsubscribing to this list now. No mail system rewrites the from address. Your subscription is to show where mail should be delivered and what addresses can post. You had 2 accounts. You posted from one of them and assumed that the system would instead use the email address of the other. That's not the systems fault. If you post with an address, that is the address that will be shown as the poster. Same with every mail system out there. That's STUPID. HOF allows users to change their email address. My change was reflected in my account settings. What a crappy site
Ok, I have signed up to this email list again just so I can post this to the list, since a staff member of House of Fusion has posted on this issue. The email address you sign up with is the address your allowed to postr with. The email address you post with it carried on for the message sent out to the list. Your email address/name/whatever is not replaced. If you posted with a nasa address then that is what was sent to the list. If you posted with a verizon address, that would be the one posted to the list. I signed up for HouseofFusion a long time ago with that address. I never subscribed to an email list. Today, I went in and changed my email address in my account settings, apparently successfully, THEN subscribed to two lists, and then posted. The new email address I had entered, that so clearly showed in my account settings, should have been used to post to the list. What is the point of allowing users to change their email address if you are going to insist on using their old one when they post to a list? I must say that for a site that purports to help ColdFusion users in their craft, this site is done extremely poorly. I am NOT posting FROM an email address at all. I am posting ON the Houseof Fusion site itself, using its interface. I am thoroughly disgusted with this site. Wow, I do feel bad for what has happened to you. I would encourage you to post from the email address you want the email to appear from.
