Are you wanting to do it in one line? I think you'd need to do multiple
regexs anyway.
You could just use the list functions (code untested):

cfset datevar = ListSetAt(datevar,1,0 ListGetAt(datevar,1, )),

maybe try this in your QoQ:
select * from qHoliday
union
select * from qHoliday2
order by SDate

As listed in the original post, my ISP is using MySQL 3.23 (which has no
support for union)...

Just to add to Ben's comments and to help clarify: we are actively supporting CFMX 6.1 and we are working on a cumulative hotfix rollup that we hope to make available sometime soon. This will include all hotfixes security fixes, some OEM updates for critical issues, etc.Nothing earth shattering,
Yes but Query of queries DOES support the union key word.

The QoQ doesn't touch the database, rather it's using the record sets
from the queries you run before hand. The query results are still in

Darn, I thought I was through with evaluate()s.
Thanks,

I don't think the 'var' scope has a name.At least I've never heard of one,

That good to know. Thanks for the feedback!

hi there.
say I have a database, mssql.
and I know 1 column that should be unique, and actually I have duplicates in
there.
is there a query that I can write that will select them all, find the
duplicates and remove
only 1 of the duplicate records?
thanks.

I think the best thing to do here is create a new table making sure that
your PK is set up and then write a script to copy over the data into the new
table making sure that you catch and ignore any duplicate errors when you
try to insert a duplicate record.
Once you have cleaned up your data,
would be a great idea, apart from the fact that the entire table is
19,487,251 rows!
not a fun beast to just throw around like that :)
