I sure a lot of cluster fixes in updater 5 that got me thinking about this.
I dropped updater 7 on my dev box and it seems ok :-)
But this is not in a cluster.

Yeah, thats what I figured too Brain.
You are still sending an SQL statement to the database
CF still has to check for a connection to the db server and open one if
required
CF still has to wait for the data to come back
So the factor from CF side of things is how quickly it can get the SQL

a file display has the file name and a number of hits
so are you saying that the file can be expanded to show each line of code?

In the ColdFusion administrator, go to data source, create an new Data
Source and select 'Other' as the driver.
The parameters will depend on what RDBMS you have.
If you let us know what you have, I am sure someone can post you a string.
You will give the Data Source the same name as the previous
and make sure you have the latest drivers

you sure can - it is done with web server rewrite rules

or for IIS, use something like
http://cheeso.members.winisp.net/IIRF.aspx
The rule would be like this
RewriteRule ^/(?i)artist/(.*) /index.cfm?artist=$1

that should be CF Service
