Have you also looked into using Contribute? For our www web site, we
are probably going to use that rather than a packaged, or home-built,
CMS.
M!ke
That's what is being used now. I am not fond of it. It does not play well with
CF. (Which IMHO is funny since it runs on CF) Also, I often have
one of the difficulties in choosing a cms is to get your head round what
your (or your clients) real requirements are.
You really need to play with some to find out if it suits you.
The bad news is that this represents a huge time investment.
My approach was to start with a fairly simple CMS
into the CMS for the site. In
addition, my budget is not big (small org)
Can anybody give me some recommendations based on real world experience
with these CMS or perhaps suggest another CF CMS alternative?
TIA

This is what I find to be bothersome:

CFInclude your Application.cfm at the top of a typical page. See if it's
the file not being automatically called or some part of the code within
1) Verify that the Application.cfm file is spelled correctly
YES - it is spelled correctly
2) Put some hello world text in the Application.cfm file and see if it
shows up when you view /index.cfm in your browser.
No go - did not work.

..but only one application.cfm file in the root..
there has to be some issue/ conflict due to the shared hosting enviroment.

OK so I renamed the variable like thus:
cfset
a uniquie name from application file..but still no go..

Nice unique app name. When you say in the root of the domain, I'm
not really sure what you mean by that. Let's break this down to it's
most simple components, an Application.cfm file and a file to run (ie
/Application.cfm - all vars set here work in this folder and sub
floders of this folder (without application.cfm files) work fine
Mark Holm
No. I have a Application.cfm file in a subfolder..however I've done this
before on 6.1 with no issues
So
set the Identity seed (number to start) and Identity increment to how you want it to increment.

This is really wierd. I'm working on a app. It works fine on my local box.
However when I put it up on our extranet.
I get a error saying Could not find the ColdFusion Component
Even if I put the cfc in the same folder and hard code the lacation..
I still get this error.
What would cause CF
, as in
com.cfbf.foo.cfc?I commonly do it.
Does the mapping to the root of the package name (com in my example)
exist on the extranet?
