The largest problem with Access is its inability to handle multiple
concurrent users.
If you have fears of using mySQL and prefer the GUI of Access you can buy

The scripts contain object ID references that seems to be specific to the
SQL Server that generates the scripts.
Additionally, don't expect the scripts to work on other RDBMs, such as

Is there an advantage to putting application variables into the request
scope instead of having application variables around a conditionaly
statement to only load once per timeout.
So in your Application.cfm one would have
request.appl
