Hi All,
At my work we have two Authorize.net accounts: one is the standard type to
process web transactions and one is the card present type, which is
supposed to require an actual credit card swipe.
For various dumb reasons my boss wants to use the card present account to

First off I really don't see what your boss is trying to accomplish by
tricking the system. Second I would talk to the techs over there because I
have found them to be knowledgeable and quick to respond. Lastly, if they
have two diffent ways to run cards such as web/card present than it is

I think Jon might've nailed it. It's like the processor isn't validating it -
not authorize.net
I have an idea - maybe I'll submit one thru the virtual terminal. Bogus exp.
date. If it accepts that, then I KNOW it's the processor.
Thanks much,
Will
Well looke here! I went into the virtual terminal on auth.net. Gave it a
good number, bogus exp date and voila!
Transaction 1234061718 has been successfully ACCEPTED by the system.
This SUCKS!

You're right! I just ran a test with one of my own cards and a
bogus exp date and it went through.
I used to use a bogus expiration date to check the processor on live
sites, but I haven't needed to for awhile.
That stinks. Good thing I pay for the fraud protection, I guess...

I just noticed on our site, if you submit an authorize.net transaction with a
bogus expiration date, the transaction is still approved.
Just got off IM with a auth.net rep. Anybody ever run into this?
Thanks,
Will

think you need to take this issue further, though.
It sounds like it's an issue with your Processor, not the Gateway.

Hello All,
I have never been terribly enthusastic about Cybercash's quality of service.
I am hearing a lot about Authorize.net now. Our site is all CF 4.5/W2K so
good integration in that area is a must. Price, reliabilty, speed are also
important of course. Does anyone have any opinions on this
