If you have access to the CF Administrator, then you need to take the timeout from 60 minutes to something lower. What this means is that the database is released quicker, but this is advice only for development servers only:-) regards Andrew Scott ANZ eCommerce Centre * Ph 9273 0693 * [EMAI

Hi Peter, Thanks for the response. It turned out to be a CF problem with the CF server holding open the database. There seems to be two effective approaches to handles this -- a Flush.cfm file executed in a browser breaks the connection and kills the .ldb file (This works like a champ -- did you

Dru, The ldb file is used by access as well as Cold Fusion. So, if you have that database open in Access on your desktop, an ldb file will be present. If you close that database (don't have it open in Access on your desktop) the ldb file on your hard drive should go away. Hope that helps, Pet

Stop and restart Cold Fusion Server. You can also go into the Cold Fusion administrator and uncheck "maintain database connection" in the datasource. Once a query is made, the .ldb file will disappear. Jacob At 10:34 AM 10/5/00 -0600, you wrote: >If anyone else is working with MS Access you'v

Sure, Make a file called flush.cfm or something... and put this code in it... flushed. Then call that file with your web browser, you might want to put some sort of security on it. You can also go into the CF Administrator, and do this under the Verify Datasources tab. ___
