I think they mean virtual hosts? One IP address many hosts, it's the
webserver that decides to what website to route the traffic.

That's what I thought at first too, but they said no. It is a Visual Web
Server. What could this be?

'heard' of Visual Web Developer Web Server so maybe that's what they meant?
Unfortunately I can't give any more info than the name. From the title,
though, I would 'assume' it was something simply for developmental purposes.
