Thanks for the suggestion, but maybe I didn't quite phrase the question
fully. We already have a file upload section. What I've been asked is for
a way to attach an image *without* using a file input. In other words, they
don't want to have to go through the trouble of creating a file
stuff in

Take a look at one of the WYSIWYG textarea replacements. I dont see why they
could not offer cut and paste abilities.
I use Ezedit, while it does not offer exactly what you are looking for, it
does allow a user to paste a word document and click a button to attach an
image very easily. If there
