[Chat] Scam cookie sale?

2013-03-24 Thread Emil Volcheck
Hello, neighbors,

Do legit school cookie sales require payment
in advance? Twice I've bought cookies from
kids who come to my door saying they're from
an elementary school. Both times I never got
the cookies. The second time I got the name
of the school (Medfield Elementary) and a phone
number, but when I called, the number was
disconnected.

when co workers would sell candy or items I always paid up front.
Usually there should be a sheet where the buyers name goes and a place
to ck what is wanted. These usually come with the catalogue describing
what is being sold. Door selling is not recommended for kids to do
without the presence of an adult.
