I have a similar question that was just recently posted. Can anyone
tell me some good shops I can trust to help restore my 70 Chevelle back
to the pristine condition I want it. I am in Fort Worth Texas, off of
I-30 and the 820 area. On the east loop near Arlington. Please help in
information
One more tip if all else fails, see your local Chevy dealer and order the
hood spring installer tool. Not making this up, it is listed in the assembly
manual.

The is a tool for that but I would take the old hinge to a body shop and
have them install the springs.
Has anyone had experience with the installation of new hood springs? How do
you stretch them out safely.
Or does anyone know if you can straighten out an original hood support?

Quick question. The door panels on my 66, are the little clips that go into the
cones the only thing that hold the panel on? The molding holds the top, and the
clips/cones hold the sides, the arm rest holds it in the middle, but I guess my
real question is if anything holds it at the bottom?
