Every nursery, childminder and reception class in Britain will have to monitor children's progress towards a set of 69 government-set early learning goals, recording them against more than 500 development milestones as they go. At five, each child will be assessed against 13 scales based on the learning goals and their score, called an early years profile, must be passed to the Department for Education and Skills. Reddy threatened to turn them into the authorities as illegal aliens if they tried to escape. The Reddy case is not an anomaly. As many as 800,000 are trafficked across international borders annually, and up to 17,500 new victims are trafficked across U.S. borders each year, according to the U.S. Department of Justice. More than 30,000 additional slaves are transported through the U.S. on their way to other international destinations. Attorneys from the U.S. Department of Justice have prosecuted 91 slave-trade cases in cities across the United States and in nearly every state of the nation. Like the slaves who came to America's shores 200 years ago, today's slaves are not free to pursue their own destinies. They are coerced to perform work for the personal gain of those who subjugate them. If they try to escape the clutches of their masters, they risk personal violence or reprisals to their families. President George W. Bush spoke of the global crisis of the slave trade before the United Nations General Assembly in September 2003. Each year 800,000 to 900,000 human beings are bought, sold, or forced across the world's borders, he said. The trade in human beings for any purpose must not be allowed to thrive in our time. UNICEF estimates that 1 million children are forced today to sell their bodies to sexual exploiters. In a single country, Uganda, nearly 40,000 children have been kidnapped and violently turned into child soldiers or sex slaves. This report comes in the wake of other recent warnings about the threat of terrorists in schools. From today's Fox News report--Members of extremist groups have signed up as school bus drivers in the United States, counter terror officials said Friday, in a cautionary bulletin to police. An FBI spokesman said, Parents and children have nothing to fear. There is no plot. There is no threat. And parents and children can feel perfectly safe, FBI spokesman Richard Kolko stated to FOXNews.com. It noted recent suspicious activity by foreigners who either drive school buses or are licensed to drive them, according to a counter terror official who read parts of the document to The Associated Press. Per the report, some foreigners with ties to extremist groups have been under recent investigation. The bulletin says that these foreigners with ties to extremist groups have been able to purchase buses and acquire licenses. Although these are foreigners with ties to extremist groups, the Homeland Security and the FBI report states the government has no information indicating these individuals are involved in a terrorist plot against the homeland. Additionally, the memo states: Most attempts by foreign nationals in the United States to acquire school bus licenses to drive them are legitimate. One counter terror official, who requested to remain anonymous, told the press it was likely that the foreigners investigated were merely employed as bus drivers, and did not intend to use them as part of any terror plot. FBI spokesman Richard Kolko told FOXNews.com, I hate to characterize this as a warning. Instead, he said it is an informational bulletin that's part of routine information sent to local law enforcement agencies for use as background information while they are performing their normal duties. This is just an awareness issue for local law enforcement. ... It just makes them smarter, Kolko told reporters. Today's FBI bulletin about extremists getting school bus licenses is not the first such warning to law enforcement officials about the threat of terrorists in schools. Others have been issuing similar sober warnings. At a terrorism awareness conference held in Shreveport, Louisiana in February 2007, John Clark, adjunct professor with the New Mexico Tech's Institute of Mining and Technology, and Don Renner, also an adjunct professor and an explosive ordinance technician with 21 years of military service, advised attendees of the potential danger. Clark, who developed the emergency response team for Oklahoma City police and responded to the Alfred P. The 2005 Drug Abuse Warning Network (DAWN) report found that ER visits for nonmedical use rose sharply even though overall drug-related emergency-room visits were stable. ER visits arising from nonmedical use of pharmaceuticals rose from 495,732 in 2004 to 598,452 in 2005, the report said. By comparison, cocaine-related visits totaled 448,481, which lead all illicit drugs. (DAWN does not comprehensively track alcohol-related ER visits.) The typical ER visit arose from use of multiple drugs, according to the DAWN report. Visits involving methadone rose 29 percent, followed by prescription pain relievers (up 24 percent) and anti-anxiety medications (up 19 percent). The DAWN study showed that 31 percent of drug-related ER visits involved illicit drugs only, while 27 percent involved pharmaceuticals only. The report found 1.4 million drug-related ER visits in 2005, out of a total of 108 million ER visits to U.S. hospitals. SAMHSA Administrator Terry Cline, Ph.D., said that ER visits provide an opportunity to intervene with drug users and refer them to counseling or other help. We are in danger of becoming a nation of pill poppers, added drug czar John Walters, who said the increase in the abuse of prescription drugs has been fueled worldwide by misperceptions of the potential harms of these powerful drugs, making it more critical than ever that we raise public awareness about the dangers of their misuse. Now we are looking at another Baker move with this new plan, which is a compromise with the neocons and both neocon and nazi plans are colonialist.
