Hi Tim, I'm pretty sure this is the same problem I had. For Windows 2008R2, you need to set the lmauth_level to 2 |*# sharectl set -p lmauth_level=2 smb*| http://wiki.genunix.org/wiki/index.php/CIFS_Service_Troubleshooting#Joining_a_Windows_2008_Domain The Microsoft hotfix mentioned there don't seem to apply to R2 (That's what my Windows Admins tell me) Cheers Tim Cook wrote: I'm running Opensolaris b134. I ended up rebuilding the old 2k3 domain controller and it added just fine on the first try. Unfortunately I don't have the cycles to troubleshoot this at the moment.
