I tried to upload a video and everything worked fine. I then delete it
because it was just a test.

You can try out if uploading videos like the ones from Igor works.

I agree with Rafa in general. But I think it depends on the mix of the
videos, the variety is important. Most of the videos should not be too
long up to 5 minutes, as Rafa recommended, but I still enjoy watching a
longer video from time to time. We should not only address the younger
people,
My idea was:
· Videos without spoken locution. Optionally music if desired, but this
without copyright problems.
→ Being without speech, anyone can understand the video, so we rule out
language problems.
· Explicit title, this one would be in English.
· Maximum duration 2 minutes. This point may
Very good idea to use the same channel and make a playlist for these videos.
I think that you should use a space like google drive, where users can
upload their videos, if they are correct, upload them to youtube and delete
them from google drive, to recover the space. The only important thing in
I like the idea with the very short videos. The longer I think about it
the better I like the idea. With short videos you don't need long intros

I was precisely referring to an informal channel.
I don't know if you saw my proposal on this mailing list.
The idea was basically to create a YouTube channel, it just occurred to me
that its name could be, Informal Cinfinity.
In order to upload the useful videos, which we use to respond to a user
I would appreciate it if you would like to add videos to our official
channel, regardless of your own channel, in case there is a video left.
If people still prefer to fill their own channel with Cinelerra-GG
videos, it's up to them. This offer is a voluntary option that we want
to offer you.
There would already be a Youtube channel of CinGG; that's the one where Sam
uploaded his beautiful Intro.

RafaMar, Thanks.
PS:
"I love the Fantastic Sam's Cinelerra-GG Intro,... I *will put* in the
Cinelerra-gg home page" is wrong. Sorry.
I want to write: ...I *would put* on the Cinelerra-gg home page.

@IgorBeg I loved your videos and your website in general. I saved it in my
browser favorites, in the "Treasures hidden by the network" folder
I think it would be very good for Cinelerra GG to put these videos, which
do not need to be explained, beyond a title, to make it easier for people
to learn

My Tutorials page for Cinelerra-GG is only a (ugly) collection of
videos, for friends, community and so on. The page is "hide" for
spamming and other. =)

Hi David, the speed thing is super simple at cinelerra. I wrote more than
20 kdenlive tutorials, and I ended up very nervous with its constant
failures. With Cinelerra I enjoy.

Yup, that did it --- thanks very much. (Although I couldn't find any
'Adjust' menu option, and instead changed the format in Settings->Format.)
That also enables inverting the mask, by drawing a mask and then setting
the Fade option to a negative number, which is actually way easier than

Igor's page is great, but perhaps hard to find if not known.
I would bet on a channel on youtube.
The goal is to spread the little-known Cinelerra GG.

Hi David!
And after the good reply of Phyllis, RafaMar and Andrea_paz,...
Another one, depending on your project/goal.

PS:
You can use "Crop" plugin also with Proxy (without Scaling),
that I always use.
I think what he wants to do, what will really be good for him is to wear a
mask. F3 in the composer.
Another option is to edit this video that you want to put on top, with the
measurements you want 1:1, export it like this, and then insert it into
this project.

Have you tried the "Crop & Position" plugin instead of the "Crop tool" in
the Compositor? IgorBeg is the expert on usage.
