Re: [Cin] Timeline borders
Yes, the idea proposed by you solves my question too. Although the decision that was already presented in the build of September 4 is enough for me. -- Ugin 07.09.2019 11:21, Igor BEGHETTO пишет: The autoasset colors is perfect, really useful and powerful, for me. When I spoke about inserting a band instad of a line I means something like the image added. The bands have not to add an information but only "separate" the tracks, one each others, at your eyes, to better display the tracks when an edit is mute, for example. Seems to me that it could solve the Ugin's question, if Ugin like it, I think. I don't know it if would be possible to coding, neither if it can consume a lot of cpu (for video refreshing) , and if users can like it. Of course, it is only an idea. Even this option already greatly helps in orienting among the tracks. We tried for a few hours today to come up with an acceptable solution for you *and *us. GG wrote the code to also add a line to the patchbay but it was quite bad. It looked bad and updating the line when the size of the track changes or when using the expanders in the patchbay (which, of course, also changes the size of the timeline track) is too costly. This cost affects everyone. Maybe another developer can come up with a viable program code solution. But if something changes later, then that can be reconsidered. IgorB: I think that the autoasset colors is distinguishing enough that a band does not provide additional information. BTW, the color of the separator line is the inverse of the theme color. I always find the auto lines confusing and turn then off first thing and since it is easy to change the colors of the auto lines, something besides white should help to avoid confusion. Re: [Cin] Timeline borders
Hi! What do you think a band instead of a line, if possible by code) in the even tracks? That line confuses the Autos (Speed, Fade, and so on) lines. A band with colour a bit lighter respect to black background (for example, for SUV theme: rgb=303030, html=#1e1e1e, or more dark) and for even tracks. More or less as you see in File Manager (in my OS there is Thunar). I added a picture. IgorBeg Il 05/09/2019 7.49, preob...@gmail.com ha scritto: So much better already! Re: [Cin] Timeline borders
Ugin: lines have been added as requested and checked into GIT. I know you probably just upgraded and may not want to test, but if you do a static tar for Ubuntu 18 (and Ubuntu 16) is at: https://www.cinelerra-gg.org/download/testing/cinelerra-5.1-ub18-x86_64-static.txz https://www.cinelerra-gg.org/download/testing/cinelerra-5.1-ub16-x86_64-static.txz If you just want to see what it looks like instead of testing it, you can see the lines in this quick setup I did (a png would have been better, but I am lazy today) https://streamable.com/38sjl I hope it looks OK for you and will probably not even be noticed by long time users. It is more involved than he thought it would be and affects at least three different code sections. It will take more time and thorough testing to avoid flickering. Ugin, gg understands the request and will have to look at it to make sure it is plausible. gg/Phyllis On Mon, Aug 5, 2019 at 1:15 PM wrote: > Dear developers! > > Now that you have done a tremendous amount of work to improve work with > Cinelerra, you can pay attention to smaller issues.
